Comedy Invasion |2| holds successfully amidst low turn out

I've been to quite a number of shows on ekehuan campus, seen alot of lows and highs with these different shows.

Comedy Invasion 1 was one of the biggest comedy show in UNIBEN as a whole. It was a mind blowing and mesmerizing experience to the crowd which turned up to the event, but it was a completely different story this year with it's sequel "comedy Invasion |2|".

Comedy Invasion |2| had all it needed to claim the title as "the biggest campus show of the semester". It had and enviable predecessor (comedy Invasion 1), it had one of the biggest campus royalty (Agabzy) as its organizer. It featured the top comedy acts in UNIBEN, not to talk of the line up of top artistes in UNIBEN. Everything was good to go.

(Nigerian background dramatic song) Gen gen gen...

Show time!.

10:00pm :- the event hall is still scanty, roughly around 20 - 25 people seated.

Past 11pm :- this was the climax of the event as the hall was considerably full and the crowd was in high spirit thanks to performances from the comedians.

Around past 12am :- the crowd had reduced and the audience left was in low spirit due to tiredness and dizziness.

Benova's performance was not up to his normal shows as the audience wasn't really responding.

Oscar's performance got the crowd singing along again

Shout out to Dj poker Elis, he kept the event on luck down, kept it grooving to great tunes.

Million dollar Question :-  so what went wrong? Why was the turn out low?!

Campus94 after analytically studying the entire event, we came up with some probable reasons for the low turn out to the show.

Absence of 300Level students.
As remote as this sounds, the stats show that comedy Invasion's main audience is the current 300level students who are currently on I.T.

Another probable cause for the low turn out was the %50 increase in the price of tickets, this made intending audience stay back in their hostels, awaiting a price reduction which never happened as Agabzy [the show organizer]  was head strong on sticking to his price.

Another probable cause can also be traced to the fact that this semester just had too many events happening simultaneously.
Okay check this out :-
The week itself was halls week for the only male hostel in ekehuan campus.
Friday night while Mr halls show was happening at the theater hall,
Simultaneously, uniben Literary Festival's blast was going on in front of Girls hostel.
The next day, Saturday was the day set aside for the uniben Literary Festival event proper, and it was an all day event.
Now this is the same day comedy Invasion falls on.
Also that same night, a cool pool party was happening simultaneously at the play house...

With all these events happening at the same time, the students could have felt a little overwhelmed.

All in all the Comedy Invasion |2| show was good it had everything on lock down, the organization was flawless compared to alot of the uniben events I've experienced, all that was missing was the crowd they planned for.

Campus94 commends Agabzy and the entire comedy Invasion team for successfully planing and executing a sequel to an awesome show. We look forward to a better show next session, one befitting of the "Comedy Invasion" brand.
