Nigerian singer Nomoreloss is dead

Lagos-based singer, Nomoreloss (real name is Muyiwa Osinuga), is dead.

Although details of the sad event were sketchy as of 8pm production time on Monday, sources close to the deceased claimed that the  multi-talented artiste, famous for his hit songs, ‘Iyawo Asiko’ and ‘Ololufe’, died on Monday morning at an unnamed private hospital in the Ikeja area of Lagos.

A statement credited to his brother, Mr. Ademola Osinuga, confirmed the incident.

It said, “This is to officially announce the passing away of our son, brother, friend, Adeyemi Olumuyiwa Osinuga, aka Nomoreloss, on this day 21 March, 2016.”

Nomoreloss, it was gathered, had been down with an undisclosed ailment since January.

The ailment had taken him off the entertainment scene for a while, but not before he released a new album titled ‘Beautiful Things’ to announce his return to mainstream music in June 2015.

Recently he collaborated with Yemi Alade on a new song titled ‘Oro re’.

It would be recalled that few years ago, the departed singer led the committee that helped to raise funds for OJB Jezreel’s kidney transplant in an Indian hospital.

Apart from ensuring the success of the campaign to save the latter’s life, Nomoreloss had virtually been at his wit’s end to check possible moves by unscrupulous individuals to exploit the situation to their selfish ends.

Ever since the news of his death broke online, the entertainment community in Nigeria has been thrown into deep mourning.
