Neymar could face a ban in La Liga after slapping Antonio Barragan after Barcelona’s defeat to Valencia
on Sunday evening.
Last season’s treble winners slipped to their third straight defeat in La Liga as they were beaten 2-1 at Camp Nou. And after the full-time whistle was blown, Barragan was celebrating with two of his team-mates when Newmar slapped the right-back on the side of the face from behind.
Barragan reacted angrily to Neymar but was held back
by his Valencia team-mates.
The incident was not seen by referee David Fernandez
Borbalan but was caught on television replays.
Despite the defeat, Barcelona still lead La Liga but are
now level on points with Atletico Madrid, while Real
Madrid are just one point behind.
