Uniben! The AMAGA kicks off today - Get the full details here

 The All Mass Communication  Games (AMAGA) kicked  off today,Monday 23rd of May 2016 and it was an exciting view as students showed up to participate.

The AMAGA is a competition made for only Mass communications students from all levels to  come together to asertain who is the best in the sphere of sports. The reigning Champions of the football game - Macsa 14' which is the 200 level constituency started the AMAGA today as both male and female football teams were on hand to defend their title.

But unfortunately for the female team, they lost to the new comers Macsa 15' which is the 100 level constituency as the girls showed resilence and held the Macsa 14' female team to a penalty shoot out which they took advantage of as the Macsa 14' female team goalkeeper didn't show much skills in the act of keeping goals. But it was a superb performance for both female teams.

The male category which was the most anticipated for today saw the Macsa 14' football team battling it out with the  Macsa 12' team which is the 400 level constituency of the mass communication department. It was a very tough game with  thrilling moments as both teams showed no restraint and plenty skills to keep the crowd wailing at different moments.

The Macsa 14' team drew first blood as Joshua scored the first goal for the team in the late moments of the first half. Sam Jazzy followed it up with another in the early moments of the second half making it two goals to nothing. As if that wasn't enough a third goal was awarded to the Macsa 14' side which made it three goals to nothing. As the game proceeded Isaac fouled Emmanuel in the 18th box and a penalty was awarded to the Macsa 12' team. IK the current Director of Sports (DOS) took the set piece and ended the ball at the back of the net to make it three goals to one.

The game was still very much thrilling to watch also in the second half Harry a Macsa 14' player and Happy Macsa 12' player were both sent out of the match because they were fighting on the pitch. The game ended 3-1 in favour of the Macsa 14' team. There was a great celebration by the Macsa 14' team. See some pictures below ;
