We’re just days
away from the 2016 BET Awards and the excitement is almost fever pitch,
especially in Africa. Fans from around the continent will be tuned in to
see which of our biggest stars will walk away with an award on the
night. The likes of Diamond Platnumz, Cassper Nyovest, eMtee, Falz and
Wizkid are all nominated.
Speaking of
Wizkid, current rumours in the grapevine are suggesting that the Starboy
could be performing alongside Drake at this year’s ceremony. His song
with the “Views” superstar, One Dance, has blown up around the world and
is currently sitting atop the Billboard Hot 100 in the USA.
Lipede
Adewole, who works for the production company that will be working to
put the BET awards together, spoke on American radio and revealed that
plans to have Wizkid perform alongside Drake were at an advanced stage.
Lipede said:
“This year we are working on a big deal. Hopefully we can get Wizkid to join Drake on stage. it’s just a matter of time”
This
would be the ultimate feather in Wizkid’s cap after what has been a
