Uniben Ekehuan campus hostel palaba!!

It was an uproar today at the Margaret ekpo hostel, ekehuan campus, University of Benin as students came out in large numbers to protest about the hostel allocation list was pasted and apparently, there was an 'uneven' distribution of space to the students.

Speaking to students at the scene of the protest, it was said that students who applied earlier than other students were not given hostel space at all.

The thing about hostel is this, a lot of students apply for hostel space every session especially ekehuan students  and the hostel space can only accommodate a few students. Because of this, students tend to resume early just so they can apply and get hostel space and this is because the portals in charge of allocating space follow the 'first come first serve' policy but apparently this year the portal didn't follow this policy leading to the uproar in the hostel.

In light  of  the protest by the students of Ekehuan campus, the list has been canceled and a new one will be released on Monday, so hopefully the hostel space will be allocated evenly among students. Check out some pictures below.
