King Sunny Ade's symbolic guitar auctioined for N52.1m

The guitar of King Sunny Ade, the one Nigeria’s finest
artist, Victor Ehikhamenor drew designs on was auctioned
for a whopping sum of N52.1m yesterday. The auction
which started off at N9m was one of the highlights of King
Sunny Ade’s 70th birthday concert tagged Sunny on
Sunday.
Sunny on Sunday took place at The Federal Palace Hotel, in
Lagos. It was a star-studded concert which had other music
stars such as Awilo Logomba, Onyeka Onwenu, Sir Shina
Peters, Darey, Tiwa Savage, Omawumi, DJ Jimmy Jatt,
Iyanya, Terry Apala, Jeff and Tyson Noir and other
dignitaries who turned off to celebrate the music icon at 70.
