The Ekiti state House of Assembly on Tuesday, April 11 slammed a fine of N1 million on former Governor Kayode Fayemi. The fine was imposed on the former governor for refusing to honour three invitations by the lawmakers. The Punch reports that fine was imposed as a result of the resolutions reached by the lawmakers at their plenary on Tuesday in Ado Ekiti. NAIJ.com reports that Fayemi, currently the minister of Solid Minerals Development under President Muhammadu Buhari, has been in a running battle with the government of Ekiti state as well as its House of Assembly.
