Atiku: Ex VP goes to farm in 'agbada' and twitter lost its chill

Former Nigeria Vice President caused a twitter storm when he showed up in farm looking all clean and spotless.

Former Nigeria Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, probably thought he was doing the planet a favour when he put up a picture of himself in a farm.

Nigerian leaders and politicians alike have been singing the diversification song a lot these days.

Agriculture is being touted as the next big thing to bolster a faltering economy that has for far too long, depended on crude oil proceeds.

"Farming season" wrote @Atiku.

 

Except that it could well have been "politicking season" from the reactions the picture garnered.

Let's just say Nigeria Twitter went in hard like it often does.....

We consider the next couple of tweets clear examples of savagery.

Dear Atiku, congratulations for playing yourself.

In the last couple of months, Atiku has dabbed, sipped on sachet water and taken pictures of himself dining outdoors.

Very atikulate moves, you've got to admit.

The grapevine says Atiku will run for President again in 2019. He's been auditioning for the job since 1993.
