Family of late defender Izu Joseph are seeking the outstanding salaries owed to the player by Shooting Stars.
The family of late defender Joseph Izu has revealed that Shooting Stars are yet to pay an outstanding eight months salary of the player.
Izu played for Shooting Stars before he died in October 2016 after he was shot by men of the Nigerian Army during a raid on a cultist den in the Okaki community in Rivers State.
According to the brother of the late defender Reuben, Shooting Stars have abandoned is family and have failed to pay eight months salary they owe the player.
"They initially promised to get back to us after the funeral, but they never did," Reuben told Complete Sports.
"Now it's 10 months and the management have not redeemed their pledge of sorting out his outstanding salaries and match bonuses."
The family is planning to write to the League Management Company (LMC) about the issue.
