Kelechi Nwakali revealed that he helped his mum prepare garri while in the village for his holidays.
He might be a football star but at home, Kelechi Nwakali remains his mama’s boy. That’s exactly what he showed while holidaying with his mum in their home star of Abia.
Nwakali shared a photo of himself helping his mum to prepare garri (cassava flour). In the Instagram photo, the former Golden Eaglets star is seen stirring the garri in a large local frying pan.
“Went to the village today to do the things I know how to do the things I enjoy doing it was fun you will know if you have been in the village good to be back,” the 19-year-old wrote alongside the photo.
The young midfielder is at his hometown for the holiday after a season on loan at MVV Maastricht in Netherlands from Arsenal.
Nwakali is waiting on Arsene Wenger to know about his future at Arsenal following the end of his loan spell at MVV Maastricht.
He scored one goal for MVV Maastricht in 22 appearances helping them to finish seventh in the Dutch second division.

Nwakali who signed for Arsenal in 2016 will resume pre-season training with the Gunners before deciding on his next step.
Ahead of next season his agent Olumide Olowu says he will have a conversation with Wenger on the future of the midfielder.
“We'll be going into fresh talks with Wenger to know what the future holds for Nwakali. I hope the young man will return to Arsenal and continue to build his future there,” Olowu told Complete Sports in an interview.
Nwakali was signed by Arsenal from Diamond Football Academy in Nigeria on a five-year deal.
He attracted the attention of several clubs with his impressive outing for the Golden Eaglets at the 2015 FIFA Under-17 World Cup in Chile.
As captain of the Golden Eaglets, Nwakali led Nigeria to the title and was named the Player of the Tournament.
