At the top of the All-Star Game’s second inning, old retiree A-Rod seemed super psyched to be back on the diamond. The former superstar gave the Jimmy Fallon treatment to the NL infield, flattering and laughing with the younger crowd.
Rodriguez, who’s surprisingly pretty smooth on TV, even had a nice little zinger packed into his travel.

“I’m going from shortstop to third base,” he told viewers. “This is starting to remind me of my career.”
The whole affair came off much better than Tom Verducci’s attempt to interview Charlie Blackmon in the on-deck circle. Even in an exhibition game, Blackmon was ready to get the hell away as quick as possible.
