Elderson Echiejile says he has really settled well in Turkey after a season loan move to Sivasspor.

Super Eagles left back Eldersion Echiejile is loving life in Turkey where he now plays for Sivasspor after signing a year-loan deal with the club.

It had been an unsettled couple of months for Echiejile who played for two clubs in the 2016/2017 season, first going off on loan to Standard Liege before he was recalled by his parent club Monaco.

He spent the second part of the season at Sporting de Gijón in Spain.

This season, the left-back has joined Sivasspor in Turkey where he has played three league games already.

It seems to be a new lease of life for the 29-year-old who already one assist for his new club.

Life in Turkey has not really been easy especially with the Language but we have a translator who has been helping me overcome it,” the defender said in a statement to Pulse.

I feel at home already with the trainers already showing faith in my abilities, and that has reflected in my first few games in the team.”

When he first walked into the locker room at Sivasspor, Echiejile saw some familiar faces in photos handing on the wall.

“John Utaka and Mike Eneramo have been here and the club respects their contributions during their stint with the team,” the Super Eagles defender said.

When you come into our locker room you will find their pictures hanging on the wall and I hope to follow their footsteps and make my mark in Turkey.”

After last weekend’s game in Turkey, Echiejile will fly to Nigeria to be part of the Super Eagles squad for their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon.
