Kendrick Lamar: Rapper is biggest winner of the night with six awards

The rapper went home with the most prestigious award of the night among other awards.

Kendrick Lamar who has had a remarkable 2017 took home the coveted prize of Video of the Year for song ‘Humble’.

He wrapped up the night with five other awards including Best Hip Hop Artist, Best Cinematography, Best Art Direction, Best Visual Effects and Best Direction.

 

The Compton raised rapper also performed the award winning song ‘Humble’ with much zest and spark. A lot of stunt was in the performance as dancers climbed up a wall filled with fire.

 

Lamar lost out to Ed Sheeran for Artist of the Year, Khalid won Best New Artist. Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik won Best Collaboration for the "Fifty Shades darker" soundtrack “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever”. Pink had been announced earlier as winner of the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award for her 17-year career that has earned several VMA award nominations.
