Hym Signage, Adara Atelier and Apparels By Pearl were some of the winners of the night at the Nigeria Student Fashion Design Week 2017 finale.
The event that wrapped on 20th August saw the promising brands carting away physical prizes and more.
Hym Signage won 'Menswear Designer of the Year' and went home with a 3-month internship with Kola Kuddus, a 6-month shirt making training, a 3-month fashion co-working space tenancy with a free lookbook creation and distribution for the brand's first two collections.
The 'Womenswear Designer of the year' went to Adara Atelier who won free masters training in garment making, a gift from Jumia, tenancy at a fashion co-working space, free lookbook shoot and distribution for the first two collections amongst others.
The 'Most Promising Designer of the year' went to Apparels By Pearl who was gifted a sewing machine, tenancy at a fashion co-working space for six months, access to loan for the brand and an international showcase in the offing.
A special recognition award was given to the Grand Patron Ifeanyi Oputa who promised the next edition will see buyers patiently waiting in line to purchase off the runway amongst other bits lined up to make the next edition a success.
