Pulse EP Review: Sokleva lets his light so shine unto lost souls in “Fistful Of Summer” EP.

Fistful Of Summer EP by Sokleva

This Gospel Hip-Hop project serves as a fine warm-up for the rapper's "Fistful of Stones" debut album coming soon.

Artist - Sokleva
EP - Fistful Of Summer
Guests  - Protek Illasheva, IBK Spaceship Boi and Okey Sokay
Label - Riverbank Music (August 2017)

Sokleva, a member of the popular Gospel Hip-Hop  duo Rooftop MCs  features Protek Illasheva, IBK Spaceship Boi and Okey Sokay on this EP "Fistful Of Summer".

Sokleva in the earlier years kicked it with fellow RooftopMC group member Soul Snatcha now simply known as Snatcha. Both acts were essentially into Gospel Hip-Hop music, a not so common genre in Nigeria.

And they did turn out to be awesome at it. One of their standout songs till date is 'Lagimo' produced by the amazing Cobhams Asuquo who also featured on the song.

Sokleva's "Fistful Of Summer"  EP comprises four tracks as a teaser for his debut album "Fistful Of Stones" coming out soon.

The theme of the collection is essentially Gospel-centric, as Sokleva spreads good vibes while leaving the listener with a message of good news that salvation in Jesus Christ can bring them.

‘Haya’ the first track serves an up-tempo danceable beat, Seasons featuring Okey and IBK Spaceship Boi talks about the beauty of time.

With Shine he hops on a cool reggae instrumental as he aims to let the listener see the glory of God in their lives through him.

In the up is a groovy track that not only shows his wordplay but drives home the point of this short but powerful 4-track compilation that’s set out to strike a chord in someone’s heart and turn them unto God the Father of light.

“Fistful Of Summer” comes from a place of divine calling and purpose to touch a soul through the unconventional way - Gospel Hip-hop and reggae music.

It’s a good warmup to usher in Sokleva's forthcoming debut album “Fistful Of Stones.”
