The Voice Nigeria Battle rounds ended on  Sunday, August 20, 2017, with outstanding performances that had the Internet reacting.

Coaches Yemi Alade, Patoranking, Timi Dakolo and Waje made their last calls, concluding the list of contestants headed to the Lives.

1. Joy Ebiem vs Chris Rio

Thus duo had chemistry going for them. Their performance of Westlife's "More than Words" showcased their soulful artistry, impressing both the judges and audience.

Yemi Alade saved Chris Rio and J'Dess gets stolen by Waje.

2. Precious vs Grace

Team Timi's Precious and Grace performed ‘When a man loves a woman’ by Michael Bolton.

Precious was saved to proceed to the Live Shows.

Unfortunately, Grace left the show as the coaches had exhausted their 'steal' option for the night.

3. Bunmi vs Yimika

Team Yeami Alade's Bunmi and Yimika performed a classic by Asa, ‘Eiye Adaba’.

Yemi chose Bunmi to proceed to the Lives while Patoranking stole Yimika.

4. Afolayan vs Syemca

 

Team Patoranking's Afolayan and Syemca performed ‘Drag me down’ by One Direction.

Pato saved Afolayan, while Yemi Alade stole Symeca.

5. Glowrie vs Wilson

Team Waje's Wilson and Glowrie performed Babyface and Toni Braxton's "Every Woman."

Waje saved Glowrie, while Yemi Alade stole Wilson.

6. Arewa vs Amarachi

Team Waje's Arewa and Amarachi performed David Guetta ft Emeli Sande’s “What I Did For Love.”

Arewa won the Battle, and Amarachi got a steal from  Timi Dakolo.

Their on-stage energy, presence and vocals earns them a spot on this list.

7. Tara and Bella vs Victor vs Sandra

When Timi pitted Victor against Sandra and twin duo Tara and Bella, viewers at home got tensed.

The 'steal' option was no longer available for the night, and their favourite Sandra, who had four turns after her performance of the National Anthem during her blinds, was up against strong contenders.

The triple-threat from these contestants won't be forgotten in a hurry.

While Victor made it through to the Lives after their performance of Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” Tara, Bella and Sandra left the show.

Note: Majeeka vs Wole

Yemi Alade chose Majeeka for the Lives after her "Toh Bad" battle with Wole.

The duo didn't start off their performance with a mind blowing delivery. But they captured and held our attention along the line.

Also, Timi stealing Majeeka remains the best steal of the season.
