We aren’t even one week into the preseason, and Jets head coach Todd Bowles is already snapping during interviews.
Yesterday, Bowles was asked about the ongoing feud between Jets defensive end Sheldon Richardson and former Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall. This is a beef that goes back to Week 3 of last season, when Richardson and Marshall reportedly got into an altercation in the locker room. Richardson has done his part to stoke the animosity since then by taking shots at Marshall when training camp started and again during a radio interview on Monday.

Bowles, it seems, really wishes Richardson would just shut up about the whole thing. This is what he had to say when asked yesterday about Richardson’s comments (via NJ.com):
“I really don’t have time for a bunch of BS that happened a year ago,” said Bowles. “We had six months to talk about it. All that sh— is over. [Richardson] has been well informed of it, and we’ve moved on from there.”

“I’m going to repeat this answer one more time,” Bowles said. “I don’t have time for BS. We’ve moved on. You’re going to get that answer the next 30 times you ask it. We can move on or the interview can be over. I don’t care. Either way is fine with me.”
Bowles is usually calm and collected when speaking with the media, and so the fact that he’s threatening to walk out of interviews in August is a pretty grim sign. If he’s already this irritable, just wait until the Jets are 0-8.
