Funke Bucknor Obruthe: Event planner, colleagues set for Events Industry Conference 2017

All the attention of APPOEMN is now focused on its upcoming gabfest titled The Events Industry Conference 2017.

Top event planner, Funke Bucknor Obruthe will join her colleagues and executive members of the Association of Professional Party Organizers and Event Managers of Nigeria (APPOEMN) for the 2017 Events Industry Conference.

The association members addressed the public at a recent press briefing organized in Lagos. The event which was held at the Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, saw a group of executives answer questions relating to the organization's aim to actualize its developmental objectives.

Under the firm grip of its president, Gbemisola Ope who took over from Obruthe, APPOEMN is now a body that seeks to maintain a high standard in regards to how events are managed in Nigeria.

To build the capacity of undergraduates interested in joining the association, a mechanism has been put in place to capture students in tertiary institutions during their course of study.

Some existing members have already started taking certification courses in event management in a bid to build their resourcefulness in the field.

There are also plans to develop its own educational programmes according to APPOEMN's Director of Education, Ajibola Olatominrin-Richards.

All their attention is now focused on its upcoming gabfest titled The Events Industry Conference 2017, which is expected to last between September 14 - 17, 2017, at the Naval Yard, Victoria Island and other locations in Lagos.

The occasion will involve an Events Master Class, Highlife Nite, Seminar & Exhibition and a Dinner & Awards Night. The latter will see the recognition of efforts in the respective categories.
