Such sad news.
On Thursday, Julia Louis-Dreyfus took to Twitter to announce that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. What a tough break.

Oh man. This news comes more than a week after the 56-year-old took home the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series trophy at the Emmys for a sixth year in a row. It sucks that such a milestone has been overshadowed by such unhappy news.
Speaking of the Emmys, HBO has since confirmed that Louis-Dreyfus received her diagnosis the day after the award show. In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, the HBO explained:

"Julia received her diagnosis the day after the Emmys. It had no bearing in the decision to renew Veep for a final season. The writers will continue prepping as business as usual, and HBO will adjust the production schedule as needed."
Our thoughts are with Julia during this intense time. Stay strong, girl!
