Liz Anjorin clears air on the speculation that she converted to Islam for personal gains.

Nollywood actress, Liz Anjorin has cleared the air over the reason she converted to Islam.

In an interview with Sunday Scope on September 17, 2017, the Yoruba Nollywood actress said;

“If I changed to Islam because of a man, why am I still single? People just like to say all sorts, but I’m not bothered anyway. This is my second time of going to Mecca after my conversion; I went first in 2013. My name remains Liz Anjorin, but I adopted the Muslim name, Aishat, and that’s all. My father was a Christian, while my mother was a Muslim. I only decided to follow my mother’s path.”

She also went further to address her dressing style which said has also changed.

“I’m a private person and people don’t know much about me. If you check my Instagram page, you would see that my mode of dressing has changed. But as a celebrity and entertainer, I can wear anything to showcase my talent, which is work-related. I don’t need to write it on my forehead that I’m a Muslim.”

Liz Anjorin is one actress who does know how to brag about the luxurious things she has. While in an interview with The Punch in October 2015, she said she spends millions on projects, and claimed she is living large in Ikoyi. She also boasted that she was the first Yoruba actress to have a home in Lekki.

It would be recalled that in September 2015, the beautiful actress while on a chat with Nigeria Films, denied that she is broke, and legal action will be taken against the site that described her shop as a place where cheap liquor is sold.
