Being a celebrity in Nigeria is a herculean task, now getting married to another celebrity comes with a lot of responsibility.

Over the years we have witness high profile celebrities crash and burn, the most recent being Chris Attoh and Damilola Adegbite.

Today, we take a look at celebrity couples whose marriages didn't last long.

1. Segun Arinze and Ann Njemanze

 

Segun Arinze and Ann Njemanze where the toast of the 90s. They were admired by all as not just a couple but a force to reckon with in the Nollywood industry. However, their union didn't last long as rumors started filling about separation. They finally got divorced later on. Segun Arinze who was famous for his bad boy roles and Ann Njemanze who broke into the limelight in the "Domitila" both had a daughter together from that brief marriage.

2. Toyin Aimakhu and Adeniyi Johnson

 

Toyin Aimakhu and Adeniyi Johnson tied the knot in July 2013. It all seemed rosy, with pictures of the two lovebirds flooding the Internet professing love for each other. It didn't take too long before accusations about infidelity and plots to murder each other started surfacing online.

Even though their separation was a bit messing, they were able to move on as Toyin started dating movie producer Segun Ogedegbe. That relationship was however cut short as they bought parted ways.

3. Chris Attoh and Dami Adegbite

 

Chris Attoh and Dami Adegbite reportedly met on the set of TV series, "Tinsel." The joy of fans and lovers of the duo knew no bounds as everyone expected their union to be one long-lasting marriage. They tied the knot on February 14, 2015, in Ghana. Just like other failed celebrity marriages, their very young marriage didn't even go past two years before rumors started trickling in.

Despite rumors of the breakup, the couple refused to talk about it publicly but the signs were already showing. Dami Adegbite deleted and removed Chris' pictures and name from her Instagram handle. However, Chris Attoh broke the news of their divorce in an interview in September 2017.

4. Muma Gee and Prince Eze

 

Muma Gee and Prince Eze's relationship was quite surprising because of the age difference. Muma Gee was obviously older but like they say, "age is just a number." Their relationship blossomed and on December 21, 2011, the couple got married in an elaborate wedding ceremony in Port Harcourt.

Cracks in the celebrity marriage started showing when Prince Eke publicly alleged that his wife had abandoned her matrimonial home for six months to go frolic with men in Abuja.

That obviously was the beginning of the end of the union. Accusations and counter-accusations started coming in from both camps and their family, ending the marriage which was blessed with three children.

5. Saheed and Fathia Balogun

 

Now, these guys were one cute and couple. They not only did exceptionally well in their acting craft but showed an example of how a couple can work together in an industry that is characterized by controversy.

Their divorce was really messy, as they both went back and forth about who was responsible for their separation. Their marriage was blessed with two children.
