Okorocha said the President would have to go through the standard procedure provided by the party's Constitution should he decide to contest.
Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha has ruled out an automatic ticket for President Muhammadu Buhari in the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the general elections in 2019.
He said the President would have to go through the standard procedure provided by the party's Constitution should he decide to contest.
Speaking to State House correspondents on Wednesday, November 1, in Abuja, after a meeting with Buhari, the Governor said the APC would not tolerate the imposition of candidates.
"We won’t allow imposition of candidates, it must be democratically done," he said.
"If President Buhari will lead the ship in 2019, it must be democratically done – and I say democratically, transparently."
