M.I Abaga: Vector has dig at rapper over diss track

Vector tha Viper who reportedly has a beef with Abaga, sent out a message to the latter and it is not your regular friendly handshake.

Vector tha Viper had a strong message for rapper M.I Abaga following the latter's diss track asking Nigerian MCs to improve on their craft.

Disapproving reactions have however trailed the song titled 'You rappers should fix up your lives'. One of these came from On-Air Personality and rapster, N6, who slammed him for the release on Twitter.

 

His position received support from four-time the The Headies Award winner, who criticized Abaga during a concert held at the University of Ife, Osun State.

At the event which was a homecoming for Chinko Ekun, Vector directed a subliminal speech at the Chocolate City music executive, mildly sending out a warning of an impending war.

"I no sabi to dey tell people to go fix up their lives for back," he began.

"Make dem tell person wey dey find trouble say we can never be on the same level,

"Plus, when you're in the position of a God, you won't leave that high place to be chairman anyways. Well, instead of fixing up our lives, we are fixing up every other person's life. How about that?"

While a couple of rappers in Nigeria have perceived M.I Abaga's barz on the track as an insult, the need to have a superior rap culture cannot be overemphasized.

Some MCs in the game (if you would call them that) have seemed more interested in satisfying the audience at the expense of infusing too much pop in their sounds.

The jam, 'You rappers should fix up your lives' is considered an attempt by Abaga to revive the quality that once exemplified Nigerian rap. Who better to launch a renaissance than him?
