NYSC: Military didn't arrest corps members who post girlfriends’ nude photos online

NYSC State Coordinator in Ondo said the alleged corps members were only handed over to appropriate authorities.

Contrary to the reports that corps members were arrested in Ondo by soldiers for posting their girlfriends' nude photos online, the state NYSC coordinator has said they were not arrested by soldiers.

It was reported on Thursday, November 9 that the men of the 32 Artillery Brigade of the Nigeria Army, Akure arrested four corps members serving in Ondo State in Ikaramu Akoko North Local Government for posting photographs of their girlfriends online.

The corps members were said to have invited the ladies to a hotel where they urged them to go nude and take their pictures thereafter.

However, the National Youth Service Corp Coordinator in Ondo State, Mrs Grace Akpabio has dismissed the report of the arrest of the corp members by the Military.

Akpabio dismissed the arrest reports during her visit to corps members at Oke-Agbe Akoko, Local Government area of the state.

She said the alleged corps members were only handed over to appropriate authorities, so as to secure them from possible attack by the victims and their relatives.

Akpabio therefore advised corps members serving in the State to always remember the core values of the NYSC scheme and remain of good behaviour.
