Pulse Blogger: Sting of envy

From Gossip to Envy.

It is that resentful feelings that make us turn out as fake friends to other people.

Its natural and okay to wish to be in possession of other people’s great achievements, but not okay to resent them for it.

Fact is there will always be a time in everyone’s life where you will have a need that you desire to meet, there will always be something to desire no matter how much of abundance we already have, after all the economists have said the human wants are insatiable.

Meanwhile how many of us truly understand the implication of this?

Every human will at one point in time in their lives have friends, families, colleagues, neighbours etc who have what they do not have, then how do one handle such situation without resulting into ENVY ---- a resentful desire of what others have that we do not?

It is that resentful feelings that make us turn out as fake friends to other people. An individual with stings of Envy is full of bitterness towards others, the sting which has eroded an individual’s ability to innocently appreciate the lives of others without reservations.

The same sting of Envy that will make our friends see no big deal in our life’s achievements rather if not careful they make us feel less than ourselves instead of being genuinely happy for us. The sting of Envy has made most people feel life itself is a competition forgetting that each person journeys on a different track with different timings.

Truth is resenting others because of their possessions and achievements is never going to help us achieve ours rather it leaves us bitter and full of hatred that leads to sad life.

It would be great if we could stop resenting others for their beautiful houses, kids, clothes, shoes, cars e.t.c. because it’s really no one’s fault that we do not have but the good thing is with hard work, focus and consistency we are going to have ours…when the time is right for us!

However, for the time being. Let us open our hearts to others without holding back because it is this LOVE for others that will work as an ANTIRETROVIRAL to this VIRUS--- THE STING OF ENVY!
