The year is about to end and e-tailers like Flipkart and Amazon are all set to lure customers once again with their deals and offers. With Christmas and the New Year on the horizon, Flipkart is the first one to take the plunge with its Big Shopping Days which will be held from December 7 to December 9.

While Amazon India did introduce some deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday last week, Flipkart did not utilise the opportunity. Now we know why as the e-commerce giant will be hosting its own Big Shopping Days from December 7 to December 9. As with all the sales this year, Flipkart and Amazon have garnered much traction for their irresistible offers on both products old and new. Flipkart will begin its last leg of sale for this year from Thursday and we won’t be surprised if that is followed by Amazon India’s sale next week.

Additionally, Flipkart will also be offering up to Rs 18,000 off on exchange of old smartphones when a user purchases Pixel 2. As per this breakdown, the Pixel 2 XL will also be available at around Rs 53,000 against its current retail price of Rs 73,000.

 Xiaomi Redmi 5A starting from Rs 4,999 

Xiaomi’s update to its Redmi A series comes in the form of the Redmi 5A. The company announced the Redmi 5A last week with some Indian specific features at a starting price of Rs 4,999. The Redmi 5A brings a 5-inch HD display and is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor. It comes in RAM and onboard storage variants of 2GB/3GB and 16GB/32GB with an option to further upgrade the storage via dedicated microSD card up to 128GB. The 5A runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat powered MIUI 9.

There’s a 13-megapixel camera onboard the Redmi 5A which is pretty awesome in this price range along with a decent front-facing 5-megapixel camera. It draws power from a 3,000 mAh battery.

During Flipkart’s Big Shopping Days sale, Micromax Canvas Infinity Pro will also go on sale for the first time. Starting midnight on December 7, the Canvas Infinity Pro will be up for sale at Rs 13,999. Micromax’s Infinity Pro comes with a 5.7-inch Full Vision 18:9 aspect ratio display and dual camera setup on the front. The Dual Selfie camera consists of a 20-megapixel and an 8-megapixel sensor while there’s a 16-megapixel single camera on the back.

The Canvas Infinity Pro is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor, 4GB RAM and an internal storage of 64GB which can be expanded up to 128GB. There is a 3,000 mAh battery onboard to power the smartphone.
