Army unsure Boko Haram abducted schoolgirls in Yobe attack

Over 50 the girls were kidnapped last Monday by suspected Boko Haram terrorists from Government Girls Science Technical College (GGSTC).

The military has reportedly rescued the abducted Yobe schoolgirls.

According to Daily Trust, the girls were found rescued at Jilli-Muwarti, a border village between Gaidam in Yobe state and Borno State.

Citing a security source, the report said students are on their way to Gaidam in Yobe for medical check-up before proceeding to Damaturu, the state capital.

The schoolgirls - over 50 of them - were kidnapped last Monday by suspected Boko Haram terrorists from Government Girls Science Technical College (GGSTC), Dapchi in Yobe.

The girls abduction became public on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

In reaction, President Muhammadu Buhari said he had directed the military and police to immediately swing into action and ensure the release of the girls before they are taken far off as with the case of the Chibok schoolgirls.
