Dapchi Schoolgirls: FG’s Delegation Visits Yobe, Calls For More Military Personnel


 
The Federal Government delegation has visited Damaruru, Yobe State to meet with the state government officials and the principal of the Government Science and Technical college, Dapchi, where over a hundred students have been declared missing.
The delegation is calling on the Federal Government to increase its military personnel in the area of attack.
This is the second time in four days that a Federal Government delegation would visit Yobe over the issue of the missing Dapchi girls.
Part of the delegation is the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, Minister of Interior, Abdulrahaman Danbazau, Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima, District Head of Dapchi Kachallah Yuroma Kamba, elders and politicians.
Governor Shettima expressed concern over the abduction and called for cooperation of everyone towards the rescue of the girls.
While the state governor on his part, Ibrahim Gaidam has called on the Federal Government to recruit more military and police force to increase manpower on the ground.
The Governor said the withdrawal of personnel in Buniyadi caused the killings of the student of FGC and also the Dapchi abduction.
He commended the security forces but noted that more efforts need to be made.
