Remi Tinubu: 3 shades Asiwaju's wife threw at Buhari

Senator Remi Tinubu is clearly not happy with the way her husband has been treated by Buhari. We counted three shades.

For months now, the political gossip mill has gone on and on about how Buhari sidelined Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu from the larger scheme of things at the presidency; after the godfather of Lagos helped in winning him the presidential election.

Well, Senator Remi Tinubu who is Asiwaju’s wife, has all but confirmed that those rumours were indeed true.

 

In a recent television interview, Mrs Tinubu gave away the following:

1. The Tinubus vigorously campaigned for Buhari ahead of the 2015 general election

According to Mrs Tinubu; “He (Bola Tinubu) was campaigning, I was too. We were running three campaigns in my house”.

That, right there, was some campaign machinery from the heart of Bourdillon.

2. After the election, Buhari threw Tinubu into the wastebin

No, seriously, we didn't just make that up.

“And for him to be trashed like that (after the campaigns)?”, Mrs. Tinubu posed rhetorically.

Some LAWMA stuff, yeah?

 

“But I saw somebody who has love for this country. I hate to speak because when I stand in the front of God, I don’t want, because of this man, to go to hell", she added.

3. After the way he was treated, Tinubu kept putting himself at the disposal of APC and Buhari

Asiwaju was recently tasked by Buhari to unite and reconcile a fractured APC. It’s a task he’s since warmed up to.

Much to the consternation of Mrs. Tinubu.

“Occasionally, I would chip in and I would say, ‘You’re still helping out? Why are you helping out?’ He would say, ‘This country matters to me more.’”

Awwwh.
