Dapchi Abduction: Activists Allege ‘Playing Politics’ With Victims’ Lives

Parents Release Names Of 105 Abducted Dapchi Schoolgirls (Full List)

Nigerian politicians have been accused of playing politics with the lives of children in the country, including the schoolgirls abducted from Dapchi in Yobe state.
The criticism is coming from some Civil Right Groups in Niger State, who are identifying with families of the missing girls.
They believe the recent abduction of the 110 girls from Dapchi is a fall out of what they describe as the do-or-die politics the politicians’ practice.
The group also accuses the Federal Government of failing to provide adequate security for innocent Nigerian schoolchildren, especially in the northeastern part of the country.
On April 14, 2014, 276 girls were kidnapped from a secondary school in Chibok town, in Borno state, northeast Nigeria, by the Boko Haram sect.
While some of the girls have been rescued and more than one hundred of the girls are still missing, another set of girls were on February 19, 2018, abducted by the Boko Haram group, Barely four years after the Chibok girls incident and their where about is yet to be ascertained.
According to the group, this is a source of worry for everyone and Nigerians as a whole.
