The veteran actor who is known for his spontaneous acting and prowess revealed his new intention known via his Instagram page on Sunday, March 4, 2018, where he posted a couple of photos from his declaration event.
According to the actor who is also a lawyer, in one of the posted photos, talked about how he had received blessings from the immediate past governor of the state, Sullivan Chime.
"Just declared my intention to contest for the Governorship candidate of APC in Enugu State. It was heartwarming to receive the blessings of the immediate past Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Gov Sullivan Chime. To God be the glory," he captioned the photo.

This is not the first time a Nollywood star will be contesting for the governorship position of a state. Just recently, Yul Edochie contested for the governorship position in the Anambra state governorship election, another state in the southeastern part of Nigeria.

Yul Edochie ran under the umbrella of the Democratic People's Congress, (DPC) where he emerged as the governorship candidate for the party. He, however, lost the election to the incumbent governor of the state, Willy Obiano.
