In a statement Issued by the Associations Director of Information, Hon. Enock Nosakare, the sporting event is to commence on the 27th of this month and end on the 3rd of July.
He added that, the competition is going to take an improved and interesting shape this time, as many side attractions such as Musicals, Commentaries, Voice Overs, Publicity, Live transmissions on UNIBEN Radio 100.1fm, Cheer Leading etc, will be introduced to the games.
Speaking with campus94 , the associations Director of Sports Hon. Udoh Idongesit, who recently led the association's football team to a famous victory in the Faculty of Arts Dean's cup finals, said "AMAGA is like a mini-Olympic games, which features sporting activities such as football, basketball, track events, and indoor games. Whereby the team that emerges with the highest number of medals cut accrosed the various games, is declared the winner".
The competition is to hold at the Maracana Stadium and Nelson Mandela's Halls of resident common room, both at the  Ekehuan campus of the University of Benin.
The participants of this event would include the 100 level constituency, 200 level constituency, 400 level constituency, and the Year 1 and Year 2 Part timers (merged together), of the great Association.
This years edition of the event would unavoidably be excluding the 300 level constituency, who also doubles as the defending champion of the sporting festival, as they are currently observing their Students Industrial Working Experience Scheme (SIWES),  a development which the President described as unfortunate, as it tends to requir them staying away from school for not less than 4 months.
