Russell Simmons is in the eyes of the storm as he has been accused of rape by three women.
Russell Simmons is the latest celebrity to be accused of rape and this time he is not been accused by one but three women.
According to New York Times, the three women who have come out to accuse the music mogul, Drew Dixon, Tina Baker and Toni Sallie all had similar experiences as they claimed to have been raped by Russell at his Manhattan apartment in New York.
Drew Dixon worked at Def Jam Recordings in 1995. She helped oversee a chart-topping album and the classic Method Man and Mary J. Blige single 'You're All I Need'.
According to Dixon, Russell Simon would talk graphically about how she aroused him. He also regularly exposed himself to her. Once during a staff meeting, he asked her to sit on his lap.
Drew Dixon revealed that later in the same year, Simmons allegedly raped her in his apartment in Manhattan. “I was broken,” she said. She left Def Jam shortly after the alleged incident.
Tina Baker was a singer at the time when Russell Simmons allegedly raped her. This was in the early ’90s. The Def Jam boss was her manager at the time.
“The second he agreed to work with me, my budget increased, the label was paying more attention to me,” Ms Baker recalled. But after the assault, she said, “I went into oblivion.”

According to her. Russell Simmons invited her to his Manhattan apartment in 1988 for a party he claimed he was hosting for his girlfriend. When she, the apartment was empty. The music boss said he wanted to show her his apartment, and led her to his bedroom.
“He pushed me on the bed and jumped on top of me, and physically attacked me,” she said. “We were fighting. I said no.” He raped her, she said.
When the New York Times reached out to Simmons for his comments concerning the rape allegations, he denied them all.
“I vehemently deny all these allegations. These horrific accusations have shocked me to my core and all of my relations have been consensual. I have enormous respect for the women’s movement worldwide and their struggle for respect, dignity, equality and power,” he said.
